Football Season Shirts
Right before football season, I designed a simple football shirt for game day.
I wore it one day to my local Pinellas Park Publix supermarket.
I always like to wear my designs around town to see if I get any reactions and this one did get noticed. Although most of the comments were positive one guy looked at it and scowled. I asked him what was wrong with my shirt and he proceeded to tell me that he was a tee shirt designer. After congratulating him, I told him that I designed my tee shirt. He went on to say that my shirt design was “weak”. He said that I needed to put some lightening bolts on it and team name and oh, yeah, black was not a good color for my shirt.
I looked at my shirt and thanked him for his input, made some small talk and then continued shopping.
I thought about this conversation for a while and replayed it in my head several times. I concluded that at the end of the day, tee shirt designs are as unique and individual as people.
I’m not a big pizzazz kind of a girl. I like subdued prints. I wear a lot of black too. I do have some busier prints which I like as well but my attire is based on #1, my mood and #2, what I’m going to do.
I still love my football game day shirt and I added nothing to the design.

Post Covid Tee Shirts
I really think that ever since Covid people have gotten more antisocial…. let me rephrase that, maybe “antisocial” is not an accurate description. Since Covid, people have gotten more comfortable being at home, cozying up on the sofa and binge watching their favorite television programs. I think that might be more accurate.
The Holiday Season Starts With Halloween
Fiftieth Birthday Tee Shirt
The other day I was working on a tee shirt design that required several colors and layers of HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl). It gave me a headache trying to figure out placement, color combination and heating temperatures.
It was a nightmare but I got it done. It didn’t come out perfect though but I learned a lot.
Here’s a picture of that Fiftieth Birthday Tee Shirt. There are some errors, especially on that last line that reads “Like a Boss”. I’ll have to try again.
How many colors of vinyl are there? I think it’s six. Each one had to be designed, cut, weeded and heat pressed onto the tee.
It was a learning experience for sure.

Creating Tee Shirt Designs
I started creating tee shirt designs because I rarely wear business or professional attire. Currently, my idea of business wear is a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. Casual wear is stretchy pants and a tee shirt. So, you can see that tee shirts are a huge part of my every day life. Even my pajamas are tee shirts, lol.
When I retired, I hadn’t thought that my joy would be creating graphic tee shirts. I thought I would continue to sell insurance part time. Yet, here I am, about ready to surrender my insurance license and make tee shirt designs full time. That’s kind of funny to me because you never know where your retired life will take you.
I’m still young enough to work but I’m old enough to know that I want to do something fun. Since designing tee shirts is fun to me, that’s what I’ll do.
Artist Inspired Tee Shirts
When I started making tee shirts in May 2022, I started by sublimating my artwork on tee shirts. You will find some of these tee shirts on this website. During that time, I was drawing and painting all 78 tarot cards just for fun. It took me 9 months to complete all 78 cards. When I completed my art work and created some tee shirts I took them to a local comic store. They promoted me and had them in their store in order to support me as an artist and as a local business. In case you want to support them they are Emerald City Comics in Clearwater, Florida. They were very good to me and I appreciate their efforts in helping me succeed. Ladies' Racer Back Tee Shirts
Then I moved on to sublimating ladies’ racer back tee shirts. I really love these shirts because if you work out, they are super cute and the sweat dries fast. They also look pressed all the time. Now some people balk about 100% polyester fabric however it’s durable, lightweight and breathable. Since it is a fast drying material, if you’re sweating a lot because you’re working out or working in the yard, this is really going to help you to feel more comfortable. Give it a try one day.
Coffee Tee Shirts
Then I made some coffee tee shirts because who doesn’t love coffee? I used the same type of blanks (100% Polyester) on these tee shirts as I did for the racer back tee shirts. Btw, “blanks” are just plain tee shirts with no designs on them. I love the ones I made for myself and I always get compliments about them. Here is another thing about these shirts: the art work is sublimated and wash after wash the colors stay vibrant and alive. They always look new. Now, don’t test me on this by putting bleach or dyes in your wash, hahaha!
Rhinestone Hoodies
I moved on from that to testing out decorating some really good quality hoodies with rhinestones. I actually own two of these because I love them so much. I used Bella + Canvas hoodies and they are cushy and soft. They feel so cozy, almost like pajamas. The designs on these are made with rhinestones but I found that they took a great deal of time to create. So, chose from the ones available on this site. Once those are sold, I will not make them again. Therefore, if you love one (because they are cute) get it now. The sizes on these are Unisex, so guy or girl you can get yours. *Note: there is one hoodie that is a ladies hoodie dress. I own one of these too and I love it for those cold days in Florida. I especially love it because it covers my bottom and on a cold day, it’s great not to sit on the cold seat in the car, lol.
Graphic Tee Shirts
Currently, I’m printing tee shirts with funny sayings on them. I want to speak to a person’s funny bone or of their truth. I have so much fun creating these. I actually have an ongoing list of cute, funny and sarcastic sayings for tees. I also have a team of designers who provide me with additional creative designs just for you. I can print a saying you love on a tee shirt, family reunion tee shirts, vacation tee shirts, your school’s spirit tee shirt, cheer tee shirts, sports tee shirts and shirts advertising your business so that you are a walking billboard.
I have prints for men as well as women and the tee shirts that I use for the men’s prints are Unisex. So, if you’re a female you can always get a Unisex shirt if there is a design that you love.
Graphic Tee Shirt Printing, Pinellas Park, Florida
It is hard to please everyone when it comes to tee shirt designs. The challenge can sometimes be superstores selling five-dollar tee shirts that are massed produced in China. I can’t compete with that. However, I can compete in originality. I can compete by being a local, small business in Pinellas Park, Florida who prints graphic tee shirts.
What I love the most is when I meet those people who shop local to support local. They know that the money that they use to purchase things at a local business are mostly being spent right in the same community.
If you follow me, you’ll see my designs grow and change. Obviously, this happens in every business. I’ll add products as well. For example, I have glass charm necklaces that are handmade. I post these during occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas. They make lovely and affordable gifts.

It’s Official: I now have more tee shirts than pants!
I think I may have a tee shirt addiction. It really started out so innocently. I just wanted to have tee shirts that I was proud of. Tee shirts with bright colors and unique art work. Just like any addiction, it now has become extreme teeshirting, if that’s even a thing.
The other day I was looking through my closet for something to wear and I found that I have three yoga pants, two jeans and about a dozen stretchy pants. There were also a few shorts and skorts. Not bad I thought but maybe it’s time to donate some things.
I continued to look through my closet and dresser drawers and in spite of my collection of clothes, I had nothing to wear.
I did find that as I went through my tee shirt collection, I had so many of them. Each one was more exciting to me than the next.
As a tee shirt designer, I’m always making tee shirts. Some of them don’t even make it to my website for one reason or another. Maybe one day they’ll graduate from my closet and make the cut. For now, I love wearing them because no one else has one like mine.
Yesterday I made one super duper tee shirt design that just blew me away. It took me a few hours to create it but now that it’s done, I’m in love.
Today I worked on three tee shirt designs and they are outstanding. Of course, this is just my opinion.
Just like every artist, I think my tee shirt illustrations are superb.
Tee shirts have personality. They speak to people. They are trending in almost every market and that’s what makes them fun. Your tee shirt can be about your feelings, thoughts, point of view, favorite band, gardening, fishing…. well just about anything!
Life is hard enough without having something available to wear that makes dressing up fun. An illustrated tee shirt makes me want to leave the house and casually walk down the aisle of my favorite supermarket. It’s funny how many people notice my tee shirts. Some of them are brave enough to compliment me. Now that really makes me happy.

I Made It To The Philippines!
I’m so excited about this because my tee shirts are travelling internationally. What tee shirt designer wouldn’t love that?
I have a host of people who have sent me pictures of themselves with one of my tee shirts on. This has been a practice I have had since the beginning – requesting that people send me a picture of themselves in my tee. I just love to see people wearing my tees!
Let me share with the you the greatest news, besides the tee shirts that have been sold in Florida including: Largo, Pinellas Park, Pembroke Pines, Brandon, and Tampa, here’s how far my tee shirts have travelled:
Brooklyn NY: 1,151 miles
Indiana: 1,085 miles
Long Island, NY: 1,201 miles
Poughkeepsie, NY: 1,220 miles
Queens, NY: 1,170 miles
That’s a total of close to 6,000 miles with just my out-of-staters. However, if I count the Philippines, then I’m at over 15k miles. That’s amazing!
Now I’m international with my most recently tee shirt arriving in the Philippines! 9,175 miles away!

I Love My State Tee Shirts
I recently made an “I love Florida” tee shirt because well, I love Florida. I know, I know, we can argue about how hot it is, hurricanes, wandering alligators and all that but, I still love it.
I also love other states but Florida is by far my favorite. Seriously, I plan to be here until I’m dust.
Did you know that the gesture for “I love you” in American Sign Language is shown by raising your pinky finger, index finger and thumb all at the same time. This sign is also an emoji, so it’s past the test – most people understand it’s meaning upon seeing it. I decided that this would be a great and simple, yet powerful symbol, for tee shirts.
Actually, I always thought it was a Hawaiian sign for “cool”. As it turns out the Hawaiian sign, I mistook for the “I love you” sign is called a “Shaka Sign”. It’s actually very similar. It is shown by raising your pinky finger and thumb at the same time. The Shaka Sign is mostly related to the “Aloha Spirit” or the surf culture of Hawaii.
As I continued to discover more about the Hawaiian Shaka sign, I learned so much more. A quick search on Wikipedia was very helpful and you may want to check it out.
Last year, when I was drawing and painting my own set of tarot cards, I used the “I love you” sign on the bedspread to symbolize wrapping yourself up with love. It’s interesting to me that I decided to use this symbol again.
If you wouldn’t mind, take some time to check out the “I love Florida” tee shirt. If you have a place you love just order one because this tee shirt is obviously customizable to your favorite state.
Leave it to Cinderella to Help a Sister Out
I’ve been trying to show up on Google for some time. It’s a process and many people pay top dollar for this luxury. As a small business owner who works out of her living room, I don’t have the deep pockets to pay for such a thing. I have had to do it myself.
After a lot or research and trying different tactics, I finally made it. After doing a random search, I finally made it to the first page of Google. I’m so happy!
I attribute this to Cinderella who is the epitome of a good person who is rewarded for keeping the faith.
I kept on trying, I kept on plugging away, I tried all venues that I could afford and now I finally found my little tee shirt business on a Google search.
Now, I know this is not the be all, end all of my business growth but it’s a ray of light in what has been an upward battle of sorts.
It’s not easy to start a business from nothing. The biggest disappointment is when none of your friends or associates support you. That alone can take the wind out of your sails. However, I keep on plugging away at it.
So, thank you Cinderella for helping me out. You certainly are special!
